Mortar

E-MIX MORTAR in use

E-Mix mortar is a powder-based dry adhesive for laying AAC Blocks, fly ash bricks and cement blocks. E-Mix mortar is a blend of bonding agents, graded aggregates and water-based, environment-friendly polymers manufactured under controlled conditions for uniform consistency. It does not contain materials known to cause harm to the health of the applicator.

Advantages

    • Pre-mixed to ensure good, consistent quality.

    • Pre-packed for convenience in handling.

    • Easy to mix and apply.

    • High bond strength.

    • Excellent adhesion between blocks.

    • Minimizes shrinkage cracking.

    • Excellent compressive and tensile strength.

    • Eliminates multiple processes at the site.

    • Thin-bed mortar for increased time efficiency.

    • Minimum water use, saving precious resources.

    • Eco-friendly.

    • Shock and impact resistant.

  • Instructions

    For Application
    • The surface area where E-Mix Mortar is to be applied must be clean and free of dirt and grease.

    • Pre-wet the block before applying the adhesive.

    • To prepare the applicatory wet mix, take 25-30% water (10-12 litres for 40 kgs of E-Mix). Mix it well to obtain a homogenous, lump-free mixture and ensure no powder is left unmixed at the bottom.

    • Place the first line of blocks on a concrete slab using traditional cement-sand mortar and apply E-Mix mortar afterwards.

    • Special care should be taken to ensure the adhesive spread on the block does not form a superficial film. A fresh layer of the mix should be applied if it is created.

    • The next course of block work can resume after 24 hours.

  • Packaging
    • E-Mix mortar is packed in 40 Kg PP bags.

  • Notes
    • If the blocks are to be laid directly on the floor with existing humidity, applying a proper damp course system is recommended first.

    • Ensure the first layer of blocks laid is correctly fixed with perfect alignment.

    • Do not apply E-Mix mortar in high humidity, pressure and stormy weather conditions.

    • Do not apply on a surface of less than five degrees Celsius.

    • During the summer, the working area should be covered to prevent the effects of the direct sun. Keep equipment in cold spaces and use cold water.

    • The product should not be exposed to flowing water during application.

    • E-Mix Mortar bags can be stacked up to 8 bags at a maximum.

    • If kept in a dry-covered place, the product could have up to 12 months of shelf life.

  • Health & Safety

E-Mix mortar is a cement-based product. However, it is recommended that workers handling this product wear appropriate safety equipment. It may include dust masks, rubber gloves, complete eye protection and boots wherever necessary.
In case of contact with eyes, it is advised to wash with plenty of water. If irritation persists, seek immediate medical attention. Make sure there is adequate ventilation and the inhalation of dust is avoided. For further information, refer to the material safety data sheet.
